Happiness is an emotion: it can come and go! Mike C-Roc grew up in a broken home & ended up living with his mom till he was 8yrs old.  At that time his mom was getting remarried to her 3rd husband, so he wanted to live with his dad…he lived there for 3 years and it was the most difficult thing he went through. He endured emotional & physical abuse, to the point where had to sleep with a baseball bat at night.

At the age of 10 he finally opened up and let his  mom know what was going on at his dad’s house… this led to his mom serving C-Roc’s dad with court papers for full custody

“When you believe in something in life there’s gonna be people with other agendas.  Theyre gonna try to talk you out of it…they may also try to talk you out of your beliefs because they’re trying to justify their position in life and the fact that they didn’t advance as far as you have… so you need to stick to your guns when you believe in something.”

“I found that I was taking everything that came my way, no matter what happened. Whether it was in the mortgage business, in the real estate business, in my family life, relationships, doesn’t matter.  Anything that came my way that would stop normal thinking people or slow them down, I would store it in my tank instead of my trunk where it would weigh me down. And I was able to convert it into Rocket Fuel for my future….I have to share this with people now because it works so well….it’s the rocket fuel law baby!”

Went to growthcon and Pete Vargas was the speaker.  It influenced & inspired C-Roc to say “’I’m gonna do this’…I was playing way too small of a game.  I had some potential inside of me that I wasn’t giving credit to.”

“every day subconsciously I tell myself why am I doing these things?... but at the end of the day you don’t really know the big picture, what I call the omni focused vision: we’re all individually focused instead of omni focused. You don’t really know a lot of times until you get down the road in the journey and you look back and you’re like ‘woah dude, holy cow! I’m so glad I said yes to that!’”

She and her sister started coordinating weddings for fun at her uncle’s venue. Things started to pick up and she realized that she had a knack for this and wanted to continue to do it… it has now turned into an empire of a business.

A few things came up:

 “My whole perspective of life shifted, because I started to become surrounded by my people: my tribe…with the right people in place you start listening to your audience and that’s how all these things have built: with a lot of strategy, a lot of focus, and a lot of help”

“I did all the things my parents told me to do… I had a great job… I was happy in healthcare, I was good at it, but that’s not REALLY what made me happy. It really wasn’t. And I learned a lot, but if you have this burning desire in you that there is something more… if you have that feeling, you owe it to yourself. If you don’t take a risk how the hell are you ever going to know? And you’re always going to have it in the back of your head ‘what if I would’ve done that or tried this?’”

“You have to do the work and you have to implement and execute….the one thing I will never do is not have a basic understanding of what we’re doing or what we’re selling.”

“Until you’re willing to change and you’re willing to put the work in for you, I can’t help you and I don’t think anybody else can”

“change your mindset…money isn’t really bad, it’s a tool. And the more you have, the more you can help, and the more you can do the more you can impact.”

“I think of pain as: if we don’t transform it, we transmit it”

“Men aren’t finding fulfillment as a whole because we are being told to do and do and do, but we don’t know how to be. We weren’t ever really taught how to create emotional help for ourselves.”

“We have to look at what we can control…head, heart, health, and habits.”

“One of the things that I learned is so long as you’re willing to pour, people will always have their cup out. So you need to make sure that you are filling your cup first.”

“If I could leave you with one piece of insight, it’s that your purpose and your promise in this life is not an expectation to live up to, that it is a divine appointment that you get to live out of. And when we can reframe that and understand that everything is a gift and everything had to happen in the way that it happened in order to create the testimony that you have today and that failure is nothing more than feedback so long as we want to take the proper steps: forward in faith to find favor.”
