Vinod Jain is an expert in global and digital strategy, a former business school professor, and author of books on Global Strategy and Digital Strategy. His latest book, Global Meets Digital: Global Strategy for Digital Businesses – Digital Strategy for Global Businesses, was published in June 2023 by Routledge in London and New York.

Vinod has lived and worked in six countries, including India and the U.S. (30 years in each), Britain, Bahrain, China, and Poland. He has taught at the University of Maryland, College Park, and at the Rutgers Business School, Newark and New Brunswick. Previously, Vinod worked with the foreign subsidiaries of British and American multinationals for many years, including Macmillan Publishers (Vice President), Molins (Manager Coordination), and Coca-Cola (Marketing Research Executive). 

Vinod is a member of the Forbes Business Council, TiE (one of the world's largest associations of CEOs and entrepreneurs), and other associations. He has taken two business delegations to India, including one led by Maryland’s former Governor, Martin O’Malley, in 2010. 

Vinod has a Ph.D. in Strategy and International Business from the University of Maryland, College Park, M.S. in Management from UCLA, and M.S. and B.S. (Hons.) in Statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta.

Joining Canva in 2017, Rachel was originally responsible for leading Canva’s product and marketing localization and internationalization efforts. She worked to ensure that every user has a truly localized experience (be it on the Web App, iOS, or Android platforms) while leading cross-functional globalization initiatives to support Canva’s long-term international growth strategies.

In March 2023 she shifted gears to focus on some of Canva’s key platform partnerships, driving comarketing opportunities and amplifying new product launches. So far, her favorite thing about her time at Canva has been the convergence of language and design, and the anthropological aspect of how culture can affect users' design experience and platform behavior. Prior to moving to Sydney to pursue her Master’s degree in Media, Rachel was working as a Senior Localization Project Manager back home in Silicon Valley, servicing high-profile tech enterprise clients.

Nadine is involved in numerous support structures for entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial projects, as a trainer, coach or expert in Switzerland and emerging countries in Africa and Asia. Nadine works mainly for the program of the International Trade Centre, a joint agency of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), or for International Innovation Programs such as UN Women or Creatella Impact.

Nadine co-founded the entrepreneurship program, Graines d'Entrepreneurs, for teenagers and participated in the implementation of the federal certificate for SME managers by validation of acquired education (VAE), originally intended for spouses of craftsmen. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Tank-D in Luxembourg, a company active in bio-waste storage; a member of the Foundation Board of BVA, a social reintegration company; and a member of the Advisory Board of Veintree, a startup active in palm recognition.

Michael Markiewicz bio:

With over 35 years of experience in providing financial guidance to entertainment professionals, family offices, small businesses, and C-level executives, Michael Markiewicz is the founder and owner of Markiewicz Enterprises, LLC, a New York-based financial services company specializing in CPA services, consulting services, and asset protection.

​As a CPA and certified financial planner, Michael provides premium services, with particular expertise in providing production accounting services for films in all stages of development from pre-production through post-production.  Included in those services is the application for pre-certification of film tax credits and the final application for credit funds to be received. Other focuses of his practice are outsourced family office administrative services and business management for sports and entertainment figures. Outside of his practice, Michael is a successful investor, and speaker, and is very involved with many philanthropic endeavors. 

​Michael graduated from Tufts University with BA in Economics and Sociology. He received his MBA and MS in Accounting from Northeastern University. As a CPA, PFS (Personal Financial Specialist), and CFP, he is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Estate Planning Council of New York City where he recently served as a Board Member. He is also the Finance Director of Marriage Equality USA and a member of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

​​Outside of his professional life, Michael studies and plays guitar, enjoys singing, is an artist in oil and other media, loves movies and the theatre (where he is also an occasional investor), and is a huge animal rights activist. Michael also serves on the board of Moving Windmills Project, Inc, and acts as treasurer, a non-profit organization where mission is rural economic development and education in Malawi, Africa. 

Michael lives in Chelsea (Manhattan) with his husband Mark and their beloved wire-haired dachshunds, Maggie and Lily.

He has consulted with presidents of countries to senior diplomats based in Washington DC, working in economic development in frontier and emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe. He has also been a GS-12 civil servant in the US Federal government, managing ARRA funds initiated by the White House.

A former Peace Corps volunteer in Romania, Al has also authored books on the 4th Industrial revolution and the utilization of social media platforms in global economic development. Currently, he is leading a humanitarian campaign to help emerging and frontier markets build capacity through his Faceconomics concept, a new world market strategy utilizing social media in economic development worldwide.

Eric Levine started in the fitness industry in 1979, when he was the first franchisee for Gold’s Gym, and opened a chain of six clubs. These six clubs were the most profitable in the entire Gold’s chain of more than 100 clubs. During that time Mr. Levine established Super Gym Advertising and Marketing company, the exclusive worldwide agency for all Gold’s Gyms, winning many international awards including the silver medal at Cannes! Eric then became a partner with Ray Wilson Family Fitness Centers, which grew to 72 locations. Eric went on to Asia and created California Fitness in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and Australia. His clubs broke every imaginable record for fitness centers around the world.

Eric then sold the chain of California Fitness centers to 24-Hour Fitness, retaining a share in that company. In 2004, 24-Hour Fitness sold for an incredible US$1.7 billion. Eric was also the founder of Planet Yoga and Bikram Yoga in Asia, the first large yoga studio anywhere. Eric is currently an investor with Mark Mastrov in New Evolution Ventures which owns and manages such companies as UFC gyms worldwide. Eric has an exciting new company, combined with Revolution Recrafted, in partnership with world champion boxing legend Manny Pacquiao. The new company is called Hitt by Manny and provides a boxing and full-body workout in a boutique setting. Eric is also the CEO of Eric Levine, Global Fitness Expert, a fitness consulting company specializing in all aspects of the industry.
