Take your day one step at a time. Journal about the feeling of imposter syndrome, inadequacy, or fear of not being enough. Take a deeper dive into the REAL cause of your stress. And YES, this is definitely a PROCESS. And NO, stress doesn't just poof away. I bet not.But why should you care?Well, research has shown that if you actually understand what is going on in your body when you have pain, it actually significantly decreases the pain you feel, and there is less fear and anxiety around it. That's one of the big reasons why people with chronic pain spend SO much time, energy and money trying to find the answer to what is causing their pain. Many times, the answer doesn't actually provide much help, but mentally and emotionally, having a diagnosis takes a huge weight off their shoulders. In this episode, we dive into what actually causes pain, and what your body and brain are trying to say when you feel pain. I'm also privileged to have guests from all different disciplines to talk about different aspects of life that contribute to chronic pain. When you've had chronic pain for a long time, it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. One of the most common questions I get: What is it going to look like when I'm out of pain? What does success look like?Although this may look different for everyone, the most common theme: Is that it's sneaky. When you have chronic pain, progress is slow, so slow, in fact, that sometimes it's hard to realize that you've gotten to the end of the tunnel! Success happens when you've stopped focusing on the pain, and one day, just wake up and realize it is no longer ruling your life. There usually isn't a big celebration, and sometimes, its time for you to shed the identity you had built around your chronic pain self, and that can be hard!If you're ready to go on this journey, check out my FREE, 5 step guide to start your pain free path:★painreliefpath.com/5steps/Want to know more about what I do and who I am?★ Check out my website! ★painreliefpath.com★Follow me at:★Instagram: www.instagram.com/pain_relief_pathFacebook: www.facebook.com/painreliefpathYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXoZruiVwyjrXSxiBE-YQGQ

Body Scan Instructions

<itunes:duration>293</itunes:duration>
<itunes:explicit>false</itunes:explicit>

Listen to this before doing the body scan for the first time!Have you felt disconnected, dissociated from your body because you've been in pain for such a long time?
